Comments on why does everyone think that rednecks are racist?
i never said that
Most are, but some aren’t. From a mutual redneck.
Everyone doesn’t. Quit generalizing.
Honey, I come from a very small town, surrounded by more very small towns.
Most rednecks ARE racist.
I haven’t met one that wasn’t. They tend to be Republicans, you know that strange breed known as racists with a suit and tie.
That’s the most known definition of a redneck to most people.
I live in an area with alot of rednecks– some are racist, some aren’t.
Most rednecks are racist. It’s the white trash that aren’t particular about who they mix with.
I live in Arkansas and there is a lot of rednecks but most of them they are not racist they are wt.
Hehe not sure. I wouldn’t worry about it.
I guess its because of the fact that many of you dont accept relationships within other types of races. I’m half white, and I still have to deal with prejudice thank to my neighbors in the south. It’s sad, but true.
my 13 year old son calls himself a redneck just by the way he dresses tight jeans -t-shirts and boots but i have taught him not to be a racists and i hope he listens to me but who knows
Them there rednecks fought a whole war to keep them slaves.
You know what, it’s okay to be racist as long as you don’t hate anybody. Many confuse the two. If you like your race and celebrate it’s traditions and origins, go ahead. But if you hate another and hurt everyone that is of that race, now that’s a problem
I’ve never met a redneck, so I couldn’t tell ya whether they were racist or not, and I don’t really care, as it’s unlikely I’ll ever meet one.
Living in a rural, Southern, Bible belt area…. Most of them are. As well as sexists, religiously descriminating, and homophobes. Huh…. It sounds like they’re just afraid of everything, come to think of it…
Granted.. not everyone is… but where I lived, the vast, vast majority were.
Look up the term “redneck” in the dictionary. The second meaning states: “A white person regarded as having a provincial, conservative, OFTEN BIGOTED attitude.”
Living in Arkansas for all of my twenty-two years, I know a redneck when I see one. They’re usually the ones driving down the main drag with their Confederate flag blazing from the tailgate.
because usually the only people they know r other rednecks and they make a lot of assumptions about other cultures, and i know this from personally having that kind of ignorance dirrected at me
I think it might be a mistaken identity thing with skin-heads. Some people just need to get their facts straight. But, most racist jump to conclusions anyways, doesn’t much matter who their bigoted about. Your not them, so you must be wrong. Very sad really.
