Whats wrong with “rednecks”?

You’re not really like everyone else. Arkansas is in the South and has a long reputation of not doing very much.

In the popular mind, California does movies, hippies, and technology, New York does yuppies and immigrants, Florida is where old people go to die, but what does Arkansas claim?

People fill in the blank with every negative lazy stereotype of the South they can think of. But hey, at least you aren’t Wyoming or some place most people can’t think of without looking at a map.

i think it’s the media. the media has got a hold of everyone and what ever they say goes! have you ever noticed that if a famous person wheres a certain thing or says something every one starts wearing or talking about that thing? they say New york and Hollywood are cool and the south is a lot of hicks living up in shacks in the middle of the woods and all our names are “bubba” or “Bertha”(no offense to anyone who has that name) its the Hollywood image. if they started make in movies down in Arkansas and in the south and not the north we would probably be cool and the people in the north would be a bunch of Eskimos or something like that. its basically all boils down to media.
