why do so many people think that TEXAS is all just about REDNECKS and HILLBILLIES?

ive lived in amarillo for awhile ,, but moved back home (georgia )
actualy i think the people out there are alot nicer than any where else . atleast they are in that area .

i think people from Texas allow that stereo type to continue. all the people I have ever met from texas were bull shi….bragged alot and were stupid. not u of course. people born and raised in the south are thought to be hillbillies…because the south was effectived by the civil war…and change came slower.

I have joked in that way in the past. Truth is, at least in my case, it is only a joke. With the diversity in the human race, there is no way to honestly group people in that manner. There are plenty of smart and good rednecks in Texas, just as there are plenty of good and smart cheeseheads(Wisconsinites), FIBS (F*ck*n Illinois B*sta*ds) and hillbillies(Kentucky, Tennessee).

Some parting thoughts; don’t be so sensitive, tell Jeff Foxworhty to shut up and what’s the big deal, anyway. By the way, I’m from Illinois.

I don’t, I live in Mississippi, in a trailer, in a trailer park, Try living with Redneck Trailer Trash as a steriotype (sp). To me the south has the best people in the world, its that Southern Hospitality.
