Why do rednecks think everyone should have a gun?
and why do they obsess over their guns. Why do they think it would be better if everyone has a gun. and Guns make the world a safer place. Are guns really that important?
so what if its in the constitution. I want a gun but I have autism and my parents dont want that even though im over 18
should we just handout free fully loaded guns to everyone, and everywhere will be safe?

cause theyre dumbasses.
Some people just grow up with that mentality. I’m trying to defend them here, because I usually see it as the opposite. The people I talk to say they need their guns because they dont trust the government to protect them, and they have the legal right to protect themselves.
However, they take it to an EXTREME and try to have everyone hop on their bandwagon (aka truck with confederate flag)
because it is in the constitution
The American Revolution.
because thats how they were raised.
Because they are fun to shoot. And it solves all relationships.
Because when you catch a relative effin your wife/daughter you need something to shoot them with. They also come in handy for shooting the lawn ornament/target that is usually in the form of an old busted up car lol. I hate rednecks!
you stereotype, that makes me consider you of below average intelligence…
These “rednecks” want people to have guns for self-defense.
Think about it, if someone is going to shoot someone else they probably aren’t going to let gun control laws stop them. They can just illegally purchase a firearm then commit the crime.
If everyone has guns, then muggings would also drastically decline, because the only people stupid enough to mug others would be dead or in the hospital.
and we don’t need more gun laws, it’s already illegal to kill someone with it.
Yeah, there are a lot of country folk who think it a duty to own a gun. Here in Wyoming most everyone owns a gun but mostly it’s for hunting. There are those who think we’ll need guns to protect ourselves when a Democratic president comes knocking on the door to take your registered gun (which will never happen, by the way). I think that if a person doesn’t want one then they should be under no pressure to get one. I’ve owned guns in the past, but I don’t hunt so I sold them. Nowadays, a good reason to own guns would be because they are good financial investments. If a person started buying guns and keeping them in good shape then you could always sell them when you’re in a financial pinch for good money.
They terrified of the impending Russian invasion….
Where i live guns are very important. It is not unusual to walk out the front door in the summer months and have a large rattle snake laying there and during calving season coyotes are a problem and we can’t afford to lose calves to the coyotes. whether you wish to consider me a redneck or not doesn’t matter to me but in my neck of the woods guns are necessary.
I can’t answer for “rednecks” since I am not one. I do however, own quite a few guns. It’s fine with me if you don’t. Just don’t try to take away mine. Here is a quote I think does a good job of explaining it.
Why I Carry a Gun
My old grandpa said to me, “Son, there comes a time in every man’s life when he stops bustin’ knuckles and starts bustin’ caps and usually it’s when he becomes too old to take an ass whoopin’.”
I don’t carry a gun to kill people. I carry a gun to keep from being killed.
I don’t carry a gun to scare people. I carry a gun because sometimes
this world can be a scary place.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m paranoid. I carry a gun because there
are real threats in the world.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil. I carry a gun because I have lived
long enough to see the evil in the world.
I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government. I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry. I carry a gun so that I don’t
have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone. I carry a gun
because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m a cowboy. I carry a gun because, when I die and go to Heaven, I want to be a cowboy.
I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man. I carry a gun because
men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.
I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate. I carry a gun because
unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.
I don’t carry a gun because I love it. I carry a gun because I love life
and the people who make it meaningful to me.
“Police Protection” is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect
themselves. Police do not protect you from crime; they usually just
investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean
up the mess.
Personally, I carry a gun because I’m too young to die and too old to
take an ass whoopin’.”
..author unknown (but obviously brilliant)
Remember the average response time to a 911 call is over 4 minutes. The average response time of a 357 magnum is 1400 FPS
That’s rednecks for you. What’s the problem. Gays must tell the whole world that they are gays.
Blacks must prove to the whole world that they too are like you whiteys (in fact they are better and don’t you forget it).
And so on and on and on and on.
The problem is when others will start having issues with all this. I mean do you care about it all? I watch no tv I see no gays, I don’t really go out much I see no other skin colors and if/when I do I am fine.
I am some 10.000 miles from the nearest redneck.
Personally, I’d love half a dozen semi automatic guns so if I wanted to go out in a blaze of glory I could, that’s freedom for you Yanks. So learn to appreciate it.
You might not be allowed to walk on the beach sipping a beer but hey you can have a bad @$$ shooter.
Deal with what you have and may God Bless America and Obama and all Obama-faced individuals.
And sorry if I mentioned the word “gay” and “blacks” but I do so what.
Nothing wrong with a gun as long as you have a concealed permit. Also you know how to USE IT! I have a permit and I carry my gun every so often. I normally have it cover when I did carry it so no one see it. But I’m not also looking for a fight with way one either.
I’ve been trained on how to use this gun, I went through and Major course on gun handling and firing the weapon also. This course that I took we went to class 4 nights a week. The classes were 4 hours long but well worth it. I got my marksmanship 3 times and with all the land I have I’m still able to target pratice,
They are very afraid. A gun is an easy intimidation tool. When you lack mental capacity your next best defense is physical force.
Ah so you like to generalize, do you? That says something about you…but I’ll be polite and keep my opinion on that one to myself.
Anyway, I’m considered a “redneck” because of where I live.
I use my gun to hunt. I prefer deer meat over beef because I like the taste better and because I know it’s not full of who knows what kind of steroids.
I like target practice too. I know I can hit the broad side of a barn and then some.
About people obsessing over their guns: they’re not cheap! I’ll bet you’ve got something expensive that you obsess over because of it’s value. I’ll bet you make sure it doesn’t get messed up because of how much was paid for it/how much it’s worth.
Hand out free fully loaded guns? Hell no! If I had to work my arse off to pay for mine, you should have to work hard to pay for yours too!
And like another answerer said, if the government makes stricter gun laws, only criminals will have guns.
Rednecks think everyone should own a gun?
Theres alot wrong with that assumption.
Everyone SHOULDN’T have a gun (like criminals or the mentally-handicapped/challenged/insane). Responsible American citizens should always have the OPTION to have firearms. You would be surprised how many people there are who are “city-boys” and not “rednecks” who also carry guns. Food for thought. Have a good one.
Look, guns are something that people are attached to. I know I am. The world would not be better if everyone had a gun because every bushel of apples has one that is spoiled. The real truth is that guns do make the world a safer place. Ask any criminal if he would do a home invasion on a home that he knew the owner had a gun. Guns are important. If you look back at history, tyrants like Hitler and Stalin both enforced “gun control.” Sadly, the consequences of their actions are seen in history books. When buying a gun there are certain things that would prevent you from owning one. Mental handicaps, are one of the things that would prevent you from getting a gun. And for your information, the US never did hand out free loaded firearms to the public. If they did though, I would be first in line to get mine.
