Because it’s easier to drive down the gravel road drinking a beer than to be mixing a drink with hard liquor. You try mixing a rye and coke and driving. See if you don’t spill. Beer is easier. That and a a flat of black label is way cheaper than crown royal.

I live right in the middle of Georgia, and alot of my “Redneck Friends” drink beer…and so do my none redneck friends…everyone drinks beer…and to answer your question, we do it to get drunk, the same reason u drink liqour?
