Why do people think peope mississipi are rednecks?
i see people on tv & cartoons refer to mississippi & alabama as the south & if they go there, there is no technology, no ac, just rednecks shotguns & all that hillbilly & redneck stuff.&lots of trees.but i live in missisippi so it kinda pisses me that people are thinking that all poeple here are like that
cuz they are being stereotypes. where i am it is a big city, not like newyork or altanta but its a city, an average city. with freaking electricity!so i dont get why people think why w are rednecks.

No offense but when i think of the south, I think of Racist Poor Rednecks and Dumb Poor Blacks that can’t speak even proper English
well golly gosh darn. I done havein to agree with ya. There no such a thang as redneck. They done be a myth.
I live in mississippi too..there right about somethings though its alot of racist people here but there wrong about nothing being here we have alot of things..we’re just as advance as any other state..
When I think of the south I think of racists with guns who want to shoot black people. This is the image I have of the place and I live in Britain and never even been to America. That’s how strong stereotypes are.
It’s the accent they speak with, it is a seemingly unintelligent way to talk. Their grammar is also pretty silly. I’m sure there are smart, regular people who speak English properly but a lot of them do not.
It bothers me when people say things such as “I didn’t do nothin”
If you did not do nothing, you must have done something
