Why did they stop making episodes of My Name is Earl ?

For stupid reasons, to make more room for the new shows because in that season, it launched 7 new shows, five of which failed in the first season. It almost seemed like it wanted a clean slate.

I agree it’s really funny and i loved it. I really miss it. They stopped making it because the ratings fell and people were tuning out so it was cancelled. Ethan Suplee (Randy) did have an online petition going around where he was trying to get fans to sign and bring the show back but sadly it failed. Lisa Michelle x x lol x x

The show lost it’s audience I believe when they had all those episode with Earl in jail. I know that was the point when I started loosing interest. From the beginning of the show until the point where it’s decline had begun they’d lost 12 million viewers. The ratings had slipped and the producers of the show were unable to get it moved to another network.
