A redneck is a derogatory term to describe a lower class white American, mainly from the south. The term redneck came about when the lower class American would do labor jobs in the sun and their neck would become sun burned and red.

i guess even yahoo answers has racist’s…what a shame

maybe in the deep south white people look the same but not in nyc. everyone has a different style here. a redneck is an ignorant beer drinking on his beach chair on his porch fat hillbillie who has no teeth and cant speak proper english. a white person is a caucasian person.
