What is the general opinion of the South?
It has changed, not much. Sometimes it’s the quiet that gets me.
Look forward to your responses & remember rednecks & ignorant people are everywhere.

idk, the south is dry?
tired of the allergies and gnats.
I am from Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley. And yes there are rednecks every where.I think we are still considered part of the Bible belt. Meaning the God and family are at the top of our list.Although it seems that morals are decaying every where these days.My 23 year old son just made that comment the other day.I believe Jesus is coming back one day and this has been taught and passed down through the generations, not just here in the south but it is a large part of our hope for the future.
Many people from the west coast and east coast who have never been to the south are very naive and still see it as being backwoods and Rebel flag throwing while chugging shine fresh from the jug. On the flip side, people who have actually been or lived in the South see a completely different picture which they should!
country

Bible thumpers, no lottery & all..
it can be irritating the way the gov can be.
I love the way I “TAWLK”
Wouldnt live anywhere else
I hate the skeeters though ?
Since you are asking for opinions, I will give mine. I think the South is probably more conservative than other parts of the country. I think many from the South are very family-oriented and maintain beliefs and traditions that have been around for a while. I think that many of them fall in the category of fundamentalist Christian. I think that many people from the South are friendlier and more open than people from other parts of the country. My response is based on having family from the South, having traveled there myself, on what I have read and have seen on TV, and from what others have told me.
Being from the deep south also, I see it’s beauty and it’s pitfalls. When I was younger, I used to dream about getting out of here. Now that I am older, I wouldn’t live anywhere else. I love being outdoors, I love spending time with my family, I love how easy it is to escape urban life when I need to, I love that both the beach and the mountains are only a short drive, and I love Friday nights by the grill and the bonfire with my friends.
