What do people think about the Australian PM calling Alabama residents a “bunch of rednecks”?

fair call?
I donno, I think it might be fair-ish? Anyone been to Alabama? But it’s still a rude and shallow thing to say none the less I don’t dispute that.

I have been to Alabama and I have lived in Australia for over 5 years. You do realise this is just a sterotypical image of Australia regarding Kangaroos. I saw about 10 Kangaroos in 5 years. I would be like saying you guys live with the coyote………

Since they don’t live there they’re being ignorant.

Well first of all, mabye he should hop out of a kangaroos ass and come to Alabama and say that to the people and see what happens. He fells safe being that far away but put him in the middle of a “bunch of rednecks” and see what happens to em mate

People who live around kangaroos should not call anyone else rednecks.

Also, Whytee Trash/Angel lives in Australia. That is reason enough for me to dislike the continent.

who cares? not all people are rednecks becuase they live in a state that people consider to be all rednecks.. i live in kentucky and people think that it’s full of rednecks, which is untrue.. there are alot of rednecks but the majority aren’t.. it doesn’t really even matter tho

I think he should have to stand in the middle of Alabama and say it

i agree that the “choice of words” chosen by the PM were not right (meaning he should not have used Alabama as an example) however…!!… what williams said was also racist and should also apologise.

instead of worring about what the PM said, look at the example williams has set for america.. coming out with comments like that out of no where just makes everyone think that all americans are racist.

at least the PM’s comment was made to defend racist remarks (more than one) made on his country,..
williams racist remarks was on the whole country not just a “state” of australia, and came out of no where
