What do people in the UK really think about Americans?
I often wonder how the UK sees the US. Are Southerners thought of differently than Northerners; if so Explain? I am a Southerner from South Carolina. In the US we are constantly thought of as “Racist Rednecks” who shoot guns, watch NASCAR, and spit tobacco. We are actually the most diverse of all of the US regions, are in general more generous, and produce more Scientists, and Engineers. We also have the headquarters for NASA in our region, so you can see that we are definitely not what the Northerners portray us as.

obessed, half of the americans are gay(men are feminine and girls are manish), barely any heterosexuals, they mexicans are the ones who are making babys for the country, rude, love mcdonald’s, those stupid people changed the real english( why do they spell “colour” like “color”) they have tons of illegal immigrants from mexico

The UK get annoyed because the US takes the micky out of our accsents.

im a Brit and have no problem with the Americans,we are always making fun of each other yet we are always there to back each other.much like siblings do.i must admit i love the southern girls accents.

I’m not from UK, but I got to say something about Southerners. I was in the south because of military and those were the dumbest fu*king people I’ve ever met. You wrote about NASA, scientist, and engineers, about 99% of those people are not from the south, I know, because I worked with many of them. NASA and the military builds in the south because the states give them the land and even pays them to build there, because they’re trying to build jobs in the south.
I am from Texas and even though we have NASA we have so many tourists and oil that we build our own state and are financially sound. I am sorry that where ever you went the people were not smart but where I’m from most of the people are smart and go on to great things.
