WDYT of the name Samantha Sue?

I think of an inbred country family. What about Samantha Rosalie? Samantha Violet? Samantha Rae? Samantha Eloise?

I like it. I prefer Samantha Susan or Samantha Suzanne, but Samantha Sue is good.

what about Samantha Skye?

Samantha is such a quirky, beautiful name! I don’t really like it paired with quite an old name like Sue. I hear Sue and think Glee’s Sue Sylvester, which no one would want for a child. (Obviously, that’s just my opinion)

But if Samantha gets shortened to Sam then you will have Sam sue, sounds a bit like shampoo!

There’s no “kinda” about it!

Samantha Sue is cute-as-a-button for a child under the age of 2.
After that, it’s saccharine and cloying and sounds ridiculous for a grown woman.

Samantha Suzanne (even with all the “S”s) is a better choice with Samantha Sue as her childhood nn.
