To all the rednecks out there?

8

Are you guys racist to all races that arn’t white?
Or are you guys more about the confederate tradition and not so much on the racial differences?

Sorry if this question offends anyone but I do know this redneck that I work with and I am not white and was wondering if I should stay out of her way or if she had some pre-mediated ill feeling towards me.
I’m not classifying everyone in the south as a redneck. I’m classifying redneck as anyone that considers THEMselves as redneck.

I guess that is how you define redneck? You should not judge someone by what you call them “redneck”. You are doing the same thing that you are afraid that they would do. I consider myself a “redneck” and I have nothing against anyone that is a different race, gender or religion. I have friends that are a different race and my daughters boyfriend is 1/2 african american. I believe what is important is how you treat people not what you look like.

depends on where they are from…some are towards anyone that ain’t white and some are more about the confederate traditions…some are both…..
anyway i guess as long as you dont pi$$ that woman off, you should be fine….if you do, you better change jobs………

This is silly. Who do you classify as a redneck? Lol, I know plenty of trashy racists where I’m from who could be considered “redneck” but to ask “all you rednecks out there…” is a little ridiculous.

But truthfully, I think most people who use the “heritage” card are just using it as an excuse to get away with some of the blatantly hateful things they do. If someone you work with is like this then just ignore her and turn the other cheek unless she does something that is just too “out there” in which case you should report her.

Who in your mind is a Redneck? Be carefull on how you answer this, as your answer will classify your ethnic biasedness! If your talking about all people who live in the south, I would say that you’ve grossly over-sterotyped people and should reconsider your question. The south is a beautiful place, with traditions from all ethical backgrounds. Go there and be amazed by the engineering, the schools, and the good graces of people that don’t hide behind the dis-attached social aspects of a metropolis. .

Good luck in your hunt for an answer.

haha my father is a country guy raised in the south.. and he LOVES my wife who is black and so does my mom.. my moms a southern girl as well.. they did hate the fact that she was black (but that was before they met her) when they saw her they were amazed that she wasnt ghetto, overweight and bad mannered.. they fell inlove with her immdeiatly.. so if the country guys or women is what you consider rednecks then its just because they havent seen anything different then white.. and if they have its based on sterotypes and the media..

I know some rednecks who are normal people who have money and friends who I respect, but then there’s the full-blown hicks who live in trailer parks and have a Coors with their cereal who are the racist ones.

Yeah, I’m tired of racist rednecks too. It’s funny, because it’s the lowest kind of white people that hate other races, probably because they’re ashamed of their own upbringing.

If this girl gives you weird looks, just don’t act scared or freaked out by them, I think it’s better to just avoid them and maybe try to talk to casually. Treat the girl as you would anyone else, until she does something messed up, IF she does.

Im not a redneck but i no a few. I just set the REAL american example and treat them as if they were just another person like me. Theres no difference and I try to show them that by killing them with kindness

If I were you I would steer clear, most red necks are prejudice.
