Both Liberals and Conservatives are Americans who passionately feel one way or another about how to make the country better. So why the name calling and hatred?
It’s beyond frustrating. How can you have productive debate when both sides insult each other with titles like; “Marxist, Fascist, Redneck, Baby Killer”, etc. What does that solve? Why do we have to dehumanize those on the other side of the political paradigm? What’s to gain considering that we’re all patriotic Americans?
When political discussion devolves into a childlike bickering and name calling, nothing is accomplished. Those in support will still support, those in opposition will still oppose. Blindly following and blindly opposing, believing every word of the talking heads as irrefutable and absolute fact.
Liberals and Conservatives have been allies since the country’s founding. They’ve fought and died alongside each other in every war. They’ve helped each other out during tough times. They govern together.
So why do you people continue to irreverently and robotically insult each other, knowing full well that all you’re really doing is pissing each other off and deepening the divide between both the Left and the Right? A divide which in my opinion, should not be personal.
