Yes there is till discrimination and there always will be. whether it be done by the rednecks or done to whites in black domainated areas i think it will never end ever
It will always be alive. i wouldnt say all rednecks are discriminators. Maybe alot of the majority of rednecks in the south or something still hoping General Lee and Jefferson Davis will rise from the dead.
I definitely think that discrimination is still alive. I heard a story from a friend of mine that involved this subject. She said that she had been dating her Middle Eastern boyfriend for about a year when they decided to go on a road trip.
While in Mississippi they went to a small restaurant in a small town. They waited for about 15 minutes, and no waitress came to serve them. She could clearly see one employee reading a magazine and check on other customers. When she called the waitress over and asked for service, the waitress basically said, “Sure, I’ll serve you, but not him.” They simply got up and left the diner, but were completely shocked.
This story made me sick to my stomach to think of such an experience, and this is just one example of discrimination.

Please don’t equate “redneck” to racism. There are those of us who prefer to think of “redneck” as “a glorious absense of sophistication”.
