I believe he does stay in jail for quite a while, because a lot of the episodes are set in the jail.
He stays in jail for a few months, but he starts doing favors for the warden and gets certificates of time off of his sentence (like for each favor he does he gets two days off his sentence). Which, is kinda unrealistic. Things don’t work out between him and the deaf girl. And Darnell’s hair becomes an afro again.
