Name The Baby After The Dad?

3

my boyfriend wants to name our baby boy after him. He himself is a Jr and his father is a disgusting slob and a bigoted paranoid half-monkey.
How do i tell my Boyfriend that I hate his name? He is proud of his name for some reason but i don’t want his family associated with my children because they are racist hillbillies. My boyfriend is the only one of that trash that was able to graduate high school.
AND his namesake is a short, fat, greasy redneck hillbilly racist pig with no teeth and literally smells like mold.
If it was just my wonderful boyfriends name i wouldn’t mind at all.

The big question is…..is your boyfriend going to be supporting you and your son? He should have some say in the naming, but he’s also got to respect your wishes too. Maybe just use part of the name – as a middle name maybe.

Just tell him that you don’t want to get it started about naming your kids after relatives. Find the worst name in your family and say that your next child will have to be given that name to make your side of the family happy. If he will not give in, when they come in and ask you the baby’s name spit out what you want and blame it on the drugs. It cost so much to change the name that he will probably never demand it.

My dad wanted me to be named after him (if I was a boy), and my mom fought him on it because she thought I’d end up embarrassed since he has a “history.”
But she decided that, had I been a boy, I my first name would be the same as my father’s mother’s maiden name (Kerras).
See if you can find a way to incorporate his family without naming him after a specific person you don’t care for.
