Is it a coincidence that Evangelicalism/Fundamentalism was born in the same place Rednecks come from?

Puritans were more “anti-Papist” than anything.

I wouldn’t consider them the founders of the modern-day fundamentlist movement we see today with the mega-churches.

I’m a Christian. I love God. God loves me. I don’t agree with half the Christians out there and how they share/regulate their fundamentalism. I totally believe its unproffitable to be gay, do drugs, have pre-marital sex. I don’t think these should be political topics like Jerry Falwell types. I have friends/co-workers that are gay. I have friends that smoke pot. I am not judging them. We all have friends that do things you wouldn’t do.
You have to learn to get along in this world, calling Evangelicalism a redneck religion, insulting others intelligence when they don’t agree with you doesn’t help anyone.
