I went to Cherokee NC and how come there are so many redneck indians?
I’m from Boston and i went to Cherokee NC, you wouldn’t believe how many pickup trucks and confederate flags there were, i mean it doesnt matter to me but i just wouldn’t expect indians to fly the confederate flag so much. In every shop you go in there is confederate flags on coffee mugs/shirts/etc.
Or is it just because it is in North Carolina and they fought for the confederacy? Idk.

Yep, that’s America, the melting pot.
Lots of folks today have both Yankee and Rebel Civil War ancestors.
Heck, some folks have lines back to slaves, slaveholders (not talking about the Jefferson way), and abolitionists.
I have both Jewish and Christian ancestors, so the idea of redneck Indians just doesn’t surprise me at all.
Of course, I suppose all Indians would have (ahem) red necks….
Could have something to do with the fact that the Confederate States of America treated the Cherokee a hell of a lot better than the United States ever did….
First of all the city of Cherokee, was named for the Cherokee Indian Nation, that were the first Native Americans of that area. Indians are no different economically from white or black residents of the area, and their life style, reflects their economic status. The only reason you saw so many confederate flags on coffee mugs/ shirts, /etc. is because they sell very well. If the number one seller on the market was coffee mugs, shirts etc. with the picture of an eagle on it, that is all you would see.
Its all about the money.
