I hate the fact that texans are always painted as rednecks or cowboys. does anyone share this malice?

sure they are and i am here in texas but i do think that also. but its funny they are here and there are others here also so its not all true but if you aren’t from here well you can believe that they are all nuts. lol

Well, I’m not from Texas. But my friend who’s from Texas was really cool, very down to earth, he really didn’t even have a stereotypical Southern accent either.

That is very common Fan Girl. I recently heard a description of an armed robber. Part of that description was that he had a Texas accent. This was in Austin, the state Capitol. The television and so much mirgration between the states will probably make regional accents disapear all togeather. Native Americans don’t find the melting pot idea very cool and neither do I.

Austin is the only moderate city in Texas – the rest are politically and socially backwards – especially in the North (thanks for reminding me “shotgun” the West sucks too…now go tend to your Meth lab cretin).
