How many of you dislike family get-togethers?
I sure do. I have to spend a whole damn day with people I see once a year. I never talk to any of them the whole time. Just “Hi”. That’s it. What’s worse is I don’t even like them as people in general. They’re all rednecks, truthfully. I think the most popular topics are hunting, fishing, and how democrats are stupid.
Anyway, what’s your opinion?

Can’t say I’ve never felt that way. Hollidays for me are generally unpleasant for varius reasons.
My family eats and then watches TV. I’m like, 4 days of this, let it end! At least as a kid we could go throw a football. We’re too grown now. I’m pregnant, maybe that will give the hollidays more value, cause I’ll have an excuse to go throw a football or take the kids somewhere as opposed to watching classics where they tap dance and sing about the war.
Haha. You sound like me. My family lives in West Virginia, and I have to deal with the same stuff, plus my dad shows me his gun and bow collections each and every time I visit. Yeah….exciting stuff. I’m glad I live far away. However, it’s nice to be able to say “Obama—In your face, dad!!!”
I’m not really into the family thing either. I’m staying home this holiday. My 70-something year old in-laws are coming over (I’m 33….they are older than my grandparents!) to thrill me with their tales of who died this year and what various illnesses they are suffering from. Good times.

Sometimes I do. It just depends which family members I have to be around, I have a BIG Family!!
I used to. Now I’m fine with it as long as I get to stay with my own age group. We have a large family so it makes house really full.
i love it my familly gets togther we laugh at how many times we done something stupid(peed on are selfs ,fell out of are chairs in a public place)just plain out done something stupid we have the best time together i wouldent change it for nothing
