I’m not certain that being a red neck is an ethnic group as much as it’s a culture. But I have noticed that a lot of red necks make fun of themselves.

well, i wouldn’t classify “redneck” as an ethnic group…but, it’s ok to make fun of fat people, too…so, everybody’s got cross to bear…oh, well…we all need to get over all of it…it’s ridiculous, and distracting from real issues…

uh, no…”redneck” refers to a specific cultural society….it is not an ethnic group…i agree with poster…you must be a redneck, when you think “redneck” is an ethnic group…you are demonstrating your own lack of intellect by insisting the term “redneck” refers to an ethnic group….stop it…it is most annoying….

Well, this country defiantly has a double standard when it comes to race. This double standard was created by bleeding heart, politically correct, cry baby, liberals. For some reason it is OK for blacks to make fun of whites, but not vice-versa. I can’t figure it out. Just wait and see how bad this country goes down the crapper if we elect a liberal democrat president to go along with the House and Senate. It really scares me.

Generally it is Rednecks making fun of Rednecks on TV. Though I doubt that Jeff Foxworthy is any longer a Redneck, he was probably raised as one (where else would he get all his material?) Perhaps some of his peers were Rednecks during childhood.

I think that there is some confusion between Rednecks, trailer park trash, and white trash. Though, they are all made fun of.

Not only them. People always make fun of latinos, and black people. which is not fair. Everyone gets stereotyped.
