Do You Think Alabama People Are Rednecks?
I hear a lot about how people from alabama are known as the rednecks of the U.S. One time we were at Disney World and some people asked where we were from and we replied alabama. Next, they say, “woah, Yall wear shoes there!?”

I know what you mean. I live in Alabama and have for all my life, and I get sick of dealing with the stereotypes. The best thing is to just try and ignore it, while correcting anyone that doesn’t know.
being raised in Alabama I have to say no, and having traveled all over the united states i would have to say that rednecks come from all parts ,with some of the biggest ones coming from michigan and i would also like to say that i married a man from new york and his family lacks morals and values
haha
i thought louisiana was “redneck” i rather Alabama be b/c i am the farthest thing from redneck there is
i would have to line everyone in al up to decide if you were rednecks.
I think they might be a redneck if…..there is nothing wrong with being a redneck. I myself do not live in Alabama but proudly proclaim myself to be an Arizona redneck. and yes I do wear shoes. LOL
some are, most aren’t- just like everywhere else. I moved to TN 8 years ago- people say the same thing about people here, and I have met a few folks that would proudly proclaim themselves to be rednecks! But, most aren’t!
nope
that would be sterotyping
