I listen to classical music sometimes, but I don’t pay too much attention to the titles.
Sorry.

Many a Southerner surely could, but a near-illiterate Appalachian person who brews moonshine in a leaded radiator and drives a 1960′s-model pickup probably won’t be able to. Is that who you mean by “redneck?”

LOL, I am sure some do but this makes me think of a funny story.

Growing up my family was about as uncultured as it gets- my parents watched the muppets and cartoons or QVC and the only music we ever heard was old twangy country or 50s teenybopper music.

I moved out early and developed an appreciation for classical and other types of music and can live without television happily.

I am the oldest of 6 kids and one day I took my little sister out and I had the classical music station on. She made no comment and gave no indication that she was even paying attention to the music. We went into a grocer store and about an hour later climbed back in the car- as soon as the radio came on she looked at me and said, “Oh my gosh!!! Is that same song STILL on!!!” Trying hard to keep from losing it and laughing at her , I calmly stated that , no , this was an entirely different piece by a different composer, it is classical music. Her eyes about bugged out of her head and she said, “you mean none of this music has any words!”

Unfortunately, she never developed an appreciation for classical music- she is into gangster rap- though I cannot understand the path of evolution from her, used to be favorite, Willie Nelson’s On the Road Again (gag!! ) to Tupac (roll’s eyes)
I guess I was the odd bird because I was the only one that did not like any of my parents music growing up so I remained starved for quality music until I was exposed to it :)
