Boy names hate em or love em?

well one son with one of these names is ok. But if your two boys were named this, I would think it was some sort of cereal killer family. LoL.

I don’t understand why name kids such things. They’re eventually going to grow up and want to live in the real world and their names may actually hinder them. I think names need to have good meanings and have a strong presence rather than be very cute or so unique.

I would honestly choose other names…these two names are very “themed”… and that could back-fire (no pun intended) on them during their lives.

Gunnar is at least a bit of a known name…I’ve heard it before. But when you couple it with Trigger…it becomes a bit too obvious. I wouldn’t want my children named after weapons… violence is never the answer…

I would POSSIBLY consider the name Gunnar but not Trigger especially not together or those names on siblings!

Gunner is cute but NOT Trigger. When you put them together it’s way too “lets go hunin” for me.

They both make me think of dog’s names. So… no, I would never even consider them for my son! And since you posted “Not in a redneck way”…that makes me think that you do realize that they DO look like redneck names! So…yeah, no offense or anything, but as names for human beings, I hate them.

Both are very unusual. I can’t say they’d work for me personally, but I like trigger better.

If you want stronger, hunter sounding names, how about Hunter?

Actually Gunnar is a name I considered with my 2nd son, so I really like it! Trigger, not so much.

I don’t like them, especially for siblings. Gunnar (or Gunner) reminds me of the dog from Cheaper by the Dozen so to me it sounds like a dog’s name, and it also has the word “gun” in it so it comes across as violent. Trigger is a part of a gun, not a name for a child, and it won’t work for an adult either. People will either be afraid of him or not take him seriously. Dr. Trigger ____ doesn’t sound professional at all, and a lawyer named Gunnar ____ doesn’t either.

I probably wouldn’t even use them for a dog or a cat, much less two little baby boys.
