I sure do. I have to spend a whole damn day with people I see once a year. I never talk to any of them the whole time. Just “Hi”. That’s it. What’s worse is I don’t even like them as people in general. They’re all rednecks, truthfully. I think the most popular topics are hunting, fishing, and how democrats are stupid.

I am wondering why this term is misused if at all. I grew up in Kansas with the understanding that red necks was a term coined for the white farmer who was lower class. Reason being they worked in the sun all day like a slave and the backs of their necks turned red. However in SW Kansas people are called ranchers, farmers, or cowboys. You can get your butt kicked for calling them a redneck. On the other hand I knew a bunch of guys in Virgina that prefered to be called rednecks and would kick your butt if you called the a cowboy, because cowboys were gay. Isn’t it more appropriate to call farmers rednecks and rednecks hillbillies? What do you think?
