To see Krishna as love or valentine god is absurd.
The Bhakti era Krishna-Radha love is not from Mahabharat era. It was written with Sufi influence in which Krishna is supposed to be god and Gopi a human soul tryiong to reach God.
Krishna left Brij as a kid and never returned. An Adult Krishna is no love god.
There is a love god in hindu mythology though. Kamdev aka Madan and he has a wife named Rati. but he is not related in any way with Krishna.
